Bobby Cruz

Head Coach – Underclass Prospect Team , Recruiting Liaison

 

  • Bobby Cruz has currently completed his 11th season in amateur baseball.  He is now serving as the 16u head coach and Executive Vice President of one of the premier travel baseball organizations in all of the United States.
  • Cruz has served as a D1 assistant coach from 2004-2009.  Most recently he worked at Hofstra University of the Colonial Athletic Association.  He instructed with all phases of the game during his tenure with the Pride.  Cruz began coaching collegiate baseball at his Alma Mata, St. Francis College of the Northeast Conference.  He served as assistant coach in charge of the outfielders and hitters from 2004-2006.  In addition, Cruz has coached at St. Dominic’s H.S., St. Francis Prep, NY Cardinals, NY Nine, and the 2008 Mustangs of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League.
  • Cruz played his collegiate baseball at St. Francis College in the Northeast Conference.  He played four years as an outfielder for the Terriers.  During his time at St Francis, he led the team in homeruns in his junior year and was named team captain in his senior year.
  • Cruz has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management (2001), a master’s degree in the Science of Education at St. John’s University (2008), and is currently working on his second master’s degree in Physical Education at Brooklyn College.  He has been a middle school math teacher for the past nine years and tutors all grades on his free time.
  • Born Robert Cruz, May 3, 1979, in New York, New York, Cruz grew up in Bayside, NY.  He is married to the former Jo-AnnEyre McNeil.  She is a guidance counselor at Great Neck South High School. Robert Jonathan, born on 11/9/12.

 

Jose R. Dominguez

Director of Administration


  • Jose Dominguez has currently completed his 10th season in amateur baseball. He is now serving as the Director of Administrations / Sport information Director of one of the premier travel baseball organizations in all the United States.
  • Dominguez served as a Head Coach (Our Lady of Grace) Little League from 1995-1998, and in those years, won three World Series (Pony 1995, BCBA 1996, and Babe Ruth 1997).
  • In 1999 he became the Assistant head coach at Xaverian High School.
  • Dominguez played collegiate baseball at St. Thomas Aquinas College (NAIA). He played four years as a 3rd baseman and catcher.
  • Dominguez has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administrations / Marking as well as a minor in Spanish (1981), and a master’s degree in Finance (1984). Jose work for Merrill Lynch for Twenty years (Accounting / Trading).
  • Born Jose R. Dominguez, September 16, 1959, in Havana, Cuba (came to United States went he was 13 months old). Dominguez grew up in New York City (Upper West). He is married to the Former Rosemary Woodruff and has two children, Michael and Gabrielle.
