FORMAT: Wood Bat Tournament

4 Game Guarantee. The 2 pool winners and 2 pool runners up will advance to Semi-Final in single elimination Championship Play.

A team trophy will be awarded to the Champions and Runner-up of the 2017  New York Liberty Tournament. In addition, a Most Valuable Player Award will be awarded.

CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND QUALIFICATIONS:

Tie breakers will be determined by:

1. head to head play
2. least runs allowed
3. most runs scored

TOURNAMENT RULES:

Straight American League Rules with the following exceptions. Courtesy runner for the pitcher & catcher only, optional with less than two outs, mandatory with two outs. Mercy rule – 8 runs after 5 innings. College slide rule – must slide or avoid collisions. All games are with wood bats; any wood bat, including composite, is legal. Time Limits: no inning to start after two hours from the first pitch of game. Once an inning starts, it must be completed or if darkness becomes an issue, final score will revert back to the last fully completed inning. Games that have reached the required 5 innings “official game” are subject to weather and/or darkness related termination. No protests, umpires ruling are final unless a specific rules violation occurs. The tournament director reserves the right to have final discretion on all disputes and any re-scheduling due to weather.
