The Yankees make the most of four hits in 3-2 victory over Mamaroneck 18u

The Yankees and Mamaroneck 18u both had scoring chances on Wednesday, but it was the Yankees that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 3-2 win at St Joes.

Mamaroneck 18u out-hit Yankees six to four, but Mamaroneck 18u stranded 13 runners on base.

The Yankees held off Mamaroneck 18u, as Mamaroneck 18u was unable to overcome a two-run first inning deficit.

Mamaroneck 18u scored on an RBI double by Mezansky in the third inning and an RBI double by Henry in the sixth inning. Despite its efforts, Mamaroneck 18u couldn't get over the hump.

 

Giovanni Dingcong recorded the win for the Yankees. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out seven, walked one and surrendered six hits.

Yankees closer Dylan Lawrence put away the final three outs to record the save.

The Yankees never surrendered the lead after the first inning, scoring two runs on an RBI single by Mark Maguire and a walk by Danny Maynard.
