The Yankees fall to NY Gothams 4-2 in spite of Maguire's performance

Mark Maguire went 2-2, but the Yankees still fell to NY Gothams 4-2 in seven innings on Wednesday at Preller Park.

Castro got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He allowed one run over three innings. Castro struck out one, walked two and gave up two hits.

NY Gothams was sparked by Rosenblatt and Goetz, who teamed up for four hits and two RBIs.

The bottom of the second saw NY Gothams take an early lead, 1-0. Edwardssingled to ignite NY Gothams' offense. A stolen base then moved Edwards from first to second. Rosenblatt singled, plating Edwards.

NY Gothams never trailed after scoring two runs in the fifth on an RBI double by Goetz and an error.
