Yankees outmuscled by NE Roughnecks, 8-2

Despite four hits, the Yankees lost 8-2 to NE Roughnecks on Sunday at Clark University.

Mark Maguire paced the Yankees at the plate. Maguire went 1-3 and scored one run. He singled in the second inning.

Smitaps recorded the win for NE Roughnecks. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out nine, walked one and surrendered four hits.

One run in the bottom of the fifth helped the Yankees close their deficit to 5-2. An error fueled the Yankees' comeback. But, Smitaps got Giovanni Dingcong to strike out to end the inning.
