The Yankees drop 3-2 game to theMamaroneck Tigers despite efforts ofSantorelli

Nanno Santorelli did all he could to give the Yankees a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past the Mamaroneck Tigers, as the Yankees lost 3-2 in seven innings at St Joes on Wednesday.

Santorelli reached base two times. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the sixth inning.

 

John Michelli put together a nice outing. Michelli held the Mamaroneck Tigers hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

 

Miratore recorded the win for the Mamaroneck Tigers. He allowed two runs over five innings. Miratore struck out three, walked six and gave up three hits.

In the bottom of the second, the Yankees grabbed the early lead, 1-0. TheYankees' rally started when Danny Maynard doubled. A stolen base then movedMaynard from second to third.

The Mamaroneck Tigers didn't relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the fifth inning when they scored on a sacrifice fly by A Makemeen and an RBI single by Ruggiero.

A one-run sixth inning helped bring the Yankees within one. An RBI single bySantorelli sparked the Yankees' rally. Francis ended the inning by getting Mark Maguire to fly out.
