Red Devils outdone by Vargas and the Yankees, 9-4

Mark Vargas had two extra base hits as the Yankees took home a 9-4 victory over Red Devils in seven innings at Freeport on Friday.

He tripled in the second inning, homered in the fifth inning, and singled in the seventh inning.

John Michelli got the win for the Yankees. He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out five, walked five and surrendered five hits.

The Yankees were sparked by Mark Maguire and Vargas, who teamed up for seven hits and four RBIs.
