The Yankees get on top of D batearly but can't hang on in 5-2 loss

The Yankees jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-2 to D bat on Thursday.

While the Yankees led until the fifth inning, D bat worked its way back and took the lead on a fielder's choice.

Plagens got it done on the bump on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over 1 1/3 innings. He struck out none, walked three and surrendered two hits.

The bottom of the first saw the Yankees take an early lead, 2-0. The Yankees' threat began with a single by Seth Learned. The Yankees then tacked on more runs when Cheren scored on a sacrifice fly by Mark Vargas.

D bat stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the fifth, scoring one run on a fielder's choice.

D bat piled on two more runs in the top of the seventh. A error scored Barnes for the inning's first run. That was followed up with a steal of home by Hendo
